    The City of Melbourne, in conjunction with the Office of Living Victoria and supported by University of Melbourne, is working on Reimagining University Square: a project to revitalise the unique urban space on the corner of Grattan, Leicester and Barry Streets in Carlton.

  • Streetscape Improvements Program

    Great streets make great cities and here in Melbourne our streets are much loved for their character and accessibility. We have introduced the Streetscape Framework to work with businesses and the community to effectively respond to the changing needs of our streets.  

    Feedback is now open on Brights Place and Crombie Lane until Friday October 10.

  • A new park for Southbank

    We’re creating more open space in Southbank with a new park planned on the site of the Boyd Community Hub, formally the JH Boyd Girls’ High School. We’re developing concepts for the open space and will be asking the community to join the conversation on the experiences and activities it should provide.

    Engagement for the new park will commence on 20 October 2014.

  • Residential Zones - Draft Amendment C179 - Update

    The City of Melbourne has drafted a planning scheme amendment to guide the introduction of the new residential zones. The Minister for Planning has appointed a Standing Advisory Committee (the Committee) to advise on the method and application of the new zones. Submissions are now closed. A public hearing scheduled for Monday 15 September 2014
