Program overview

Since 2011, the City of Melbourne has worked closely with the community to develop the Urban Forest Strategy and Urban Forest Precinct Plans for each of the city’s 10 precincts. This collaboration has fostered high levels of interest and participation in creating a greener Melbourne.

The Citizen Forester Program was established to facilitate a meaningful connection with the community to grow and enhance one of Melbourne's most important assets: our urban forest.
