Consortium to build Metro Tunnel and five stations

July 16, 2017

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews and Minister for Public Transport Jacinta Allen today announced that the Cross Yarra Partnership (CYP), a consortium led by Lendlease Engineering, John Holland, Bouygues Construction and Capella Capital, will build the Metro Tunnel and five new underground stations - including Arden station.

The decision to award the project to CYP follows a lengthy tender process, and will create thousands of jobs for apprentices, trainees and engineering cadets.

According to a press release issued by the Premier and the Minister for Public Transport, the five new stations will include wider platforms and more natural light, bringing world-class design to central Melbourne's train network.
