Citizen Forester Program event now open

July 7, 2022

Citizen Forester is back and we are excited to announce that we have finalised scheduling for several citizen science events.

The first event we’re going to be kicking off with is Hollow Mapping in Carlton Gardens. We know that tree hollows are important as they provide shelter for a range of animals, but we have limited data about which trees have hollows and how they are distributed throughout the City of Melbourne. You are invited to help us build our database of trees with hollows by attending events where we will look closely at trees and record information about whether a hollow is present.

Sign up to the event or view a timeline of future events.
