To acknowledge the great work done throughout 2017, volunteers in the Citizen Forester Program are invited to attend this special event.

Tuesday 19 December, 2017

5:30pm - 7:00pm
Melbourne Town Hall (room TBC)
90 - 120 Swanston Street, Melbourne

We will hear from two exciting speakers about the work they are doing to understand nature in the city.

Dr Luis Mata will speak about his research on insect diversity throughout the City of Melbourne. This work has formed the basis of the recently released children's picture book 'The Little Things That Run The City'. Luis is also currently doing research on the butterfly species found within Melbourne. It's sure to be an interesting talk!

Lee Harrison will share insights and preliminary results from the City of Melbourne's first ever HollowBlitz. Learn about how birds are using tree hollows throughout the city.

This is a free event, open to all Citizen Foresters. Light refreshments will be provided.
