Citizen Foresters create habitat oasis

September 17, 2018

The sun was shining in West Melbourne when 25 Citizen Forester volunteers helped to create a lush riverside environment to encourage biodiversity. The day kicked off with a planting demonstration from the Westgate Biodiversity team, and then volunteers got to work planting more than 500 new plants along the riverbank. The indigenous plants will provide food and habitat for native animals, and also improve the growth of newly planted trees in the area.

Head to the Habitat Planting Day page for more information and to check out the photos from the day.
