The East Melbourne Heritage Review is part of the City of Melbourne’s commitment to identifying and protecting the city’s heritage.

We asked for community feedback from 29 July to 6 September 2024.

We wanted to hear from you during the first phase of the review to:

  • Improve our knowledge and understanding of existing heritage places, and potentially add information to existing written documentation and records.
  • Identify places that need to be investigated for heritage protection in the Melbourne Planning Scheme.
  • Hear and learn from the community about the places they value and why.
  • Increase understanding of what makes East Melbourne distinctive and how heritage contributes to its sense of place.

Consultation has now closed.
