Recycled Material Raingardens selected as winning pilot

August 25, 2022

Recycled Material Raingardens, gardens created from local hard waste to filter stormwater run-off and reduce the risk of flooding, has been selected as the winner of this year’s Fishermans Bend Innovation Challenge.

Receiving a total of 416 community votes (65 per cent of all votes), the brainchild of Amira Moshinsky will close the loop on local waste while contributing to the unique character of Fishermans Bend.

Amira and University of Melbourne will work with City of Melbourne over the next 12 months to develop the pilot through a series of stages and bring it to life at Fishermans Bend.

Follow the Emerging Technology Testbed to stay in the loop as the pilot takes shape.
