Introduction to Chocolate Tasting by Cacao about Town
Join craft chocolate maker, certified chocolate taster and international awards judge Finn Doyle (aka Cacao About Town) for a journey into the flavourful world of chocolate.
In this introductory workshop, we'll explore the many flavours of cacao by learning how to taste chocolate from several local bean-to-bar makers. Through each of these all-vegan samples, we'll look at the history of cacao and how it's transformed from tropical fruit to the chocolate we love, as well as ethical issues facing the industry today.
This fun and mindful experience will leave you eager for more of Melbourne's finest chocolate - don't worry, you'll be given the tools (and chocolate!) to keep tasting at home.
Includes:
- A guided tasting of Australian bean-to-bar chocolate (approximately 1.5 to 2 hours).
- All-vegan chocolate samples.
- A take-home bar and booklet.
