Cast your vote for one of the nine flowers our expert reference group has chosen as finalists for the emblem, based on their unique characteristics. Whether it’s a floral favourite you know and love, or a new bloom to you, we want to know which resonates best with your perception of Melbourne.

Choosing a floral emblem is one of the first steps we’re taking to establish Melbourne as the garden city – celebrating the natural diversity of our flora and fauna. A floral emblem is a symbol of how nature is integrated into our cityscape, which is a key part of our city’s identity and something we can be proud of. It’s also a reminder of the natural beauty inherent to Melbourne and the importance of caring for Country, following in the footsteps of Traditional Owners.
