Gateway to GMH Project Update to be considered at Future Melbourne Committee Meeting

November 26, 2021

The Gateway to GMH Draft Concept will be considered at Future Melbourne Committee for endorsement on Tuesday 30 November 2021.

As part of the $2.7b Building Works package announced by the Victorian Government in May 2020, the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (DJPR) has partnered with the City of Melbourne to deliver early works on Turner Street in a project called “Gateway to GMH”.

Gateway to GMH will be the first step in Turner Street’s transformation into a key multi-modal movement corridor from the former GMH site through to the city and other innovation precincts.

The final concept plan has been informed by feedback we heard through the Participate Melbourne survey and through direct conversations with stakeholders.

You can now read the Future Melbourne Committee Report, which include a full project update including the final concept plan and a summary of what we heard through the engagement process. A more detailed engagement summary will be available in the coming weeks.

We encourage you to watch the live streamed meeting, which will start at 5.30pm, and welcome written or verbal submissions that have been registered in advance.
