The City of Melbourne held four community forums throughout March and April 2014.
The community was invited to learn about City Of Melbourne initiatives and activities in the neighbourhood and across the city. It was an opportunity to meet with and talk to Councillors and council officers about projects of interest. Community members were also able to find out how council works and the best ways to participate in City of Melbourne decision making.
The community forums were ran in two parts. The first half hour was an informal open house showcasing themed displays on Council programs and services. There was also the chance to have one-on-one conversations with Councillors and council staff. The following hour and a half was a panel with Councillors responding to community questions.
The community forums are grouped by geographical areas:
- Forum 1: Melbourne Town Hall (concluded)
- Forum 2: East Melbourne Library (concluded)
- Forum 3: North Melbourne Town Hall (concluded)
- Forum 4: Kensington Community Centre (concluded).
