The City of Melbourne prepared Amendment C396: Finalisation of the Heritage Places Inventory to convert the heritage gradings of properties which were not converted through a separate amendment, Amendment C258: Heritage Policies Review and West Melbourne Heritage.

The amendment has now been approved.

    The Future Melbourne Committee resolved to seek authorisation from the Minister for Planning to prepare and exhibit the amendment.

    Community consultation

    Public exhibition of Amendment C396 for five weeks. Anyone will be able to make a submission about the amendment during this time.

    20 May to 25 June 2021

  • Timeline item 3 - complete

    Submissions to Future Melbourne Committee

    Report on public submissions to Future Melbourne Committee. If submissions cannot be resolved Council requests Minister to appoint independent panel to review and hear submissions.

    7 September 2021.

  • Timeline item 4 - complete

    Submissions to the independent panel

    Independent panel considers written submissions lodged during the statutory consultation period, hears verbal submissions in support of the written submissions and makes recommendations.

  • Timeline item 5 - complete

    Submissions to Future Melbourne Committee

    Future Melbourne Committee considers the recommendations in the panel report. Council submits final amendment to Minister for approval.
