We're asking for ideas to inform the development of the Domestic Animal Management Plan 2021-25. The plan will outline how we support the care of the municipality's cats and dogs, and we're keen to hear your thoughts on what the key issues and objectives are, and what actions you’d like us to take.

Consultation on the plan ran from 13 May until 5 June 2022.

We are doing so much more

We've also consulted with the community on the management of dogs in public places - we want to create safe shared spaces where owners and community can enjoy their time with their pets, while balancing the city’s vibrancy and conflicting use of land.
