City of Melbourne is seeking your feedback and ideas to help us develop our next Domestic Animal Management Plan 2026-2029 (DAMP).

Thank you to everyone who participated in the first round of engagement in April – your feedback helped shape our draft Domestic Animal Management Plan (2026-29). The draft DAMP was endorsed by the Future Melbourne Committee on 1 July 2025. We are now looking for your feedback on the draft to ensure we’ve got it right.

We want to hear your thoughts on whether the key issues, priorities, actions and programs in the draft DAMP reflect what matters to you and your experiences with cats and dogs in the municipality.

Review the draft and have your say by Monday 4 August 2025. Whether you’re a pet owner or not – we'd like to hear your insights so we can prioritise services that keep our community and furry friends happy and safe.
