The Digital Innovation Challenge ran from 16 April to 13 June 2024. After eight weeks of events including Data Drop-in Days, pitch training and mentoring, 33 submissions were received.

The top three finalists were decided after several stages of assessment against the Challenge criteria. Ecoacoustic sensors, street-side worm farming and micro-recycling hubs featuring in our top three ideas.

Come along in-person at Fishermans Bend or tune in via the livestream to see the three top ideas pitch. The pitches will battle it out to win over the judges and the community, with the winner getting $90,000 and the opportunity to work with City of Melbourne team to bring their idea to life in 2025.
