We use the best data and tools to build our flood models – but your local knowledge can help make them even better. You know the area first-hand, and your real-world insights help ensure our models reflect what happens on the ground.

We welcome relevant information you can share about flooding in your area and are interested in knowing:

  • Location: where did the flooding occur? (Please include an address or a clear description of the location.)
  • Depth: how deep did the water get? (E.g. over a road, up to the top of a riverbank, at your front door, or inside your house.)
  • Cause: what caused the flooding? (E.g. heavy rainfall, a blocked drain, a burst riverbank, or another situation?)
  • Date and time: when did this flooding event happen? Or how often does it occur? (An approximate date and time is fine.)
  • Photos and videos are especially helpful for validating the spread of floodwaters (flood extent) and their depth.

Feedback provided for the shaded areas will be used to inform the new flood maps, any other feedback will be used to inform drainage maintenance and upgrades.

Consultation closes Friday 25 July 2025.
