The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future.

Where will the workshops take place?

The in-person events will be held at Bedford Street Reserve on the corner of Bedford and Courtney streets, North Melbourne. A marquee will pop-up on site, displaying maps of the area and interesting information. They will be staffed by RedRoad Consulting along with Council officers. See the map below to find the exact location.

What can I expect at each event?

Facilitated group and individual activities will encourage you to consider how you use the park and surrounding streets, and how you feel when you're in them. We want to know what would make them better places to be in and move through.

Local community members will take us on a guided walk, where we will take photographs and talk about specific places where we might focus our thinking.

We encourage everyone with an interest in this neighbourhood to get involved. Please contact andrea@redroad.com.au to discuss any supports that would help you participate fully.
