The City of Melbourne is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) to fill one vacancy on the Invest Melbourne Advisory Board with subject matter expertise in renewable energy.
Representatives from a cross section of the investment sector with experience, knowledge and expertise in strategic investment and Melbourne’s economy are encouraged to apply.
The Board was established on 14 December 2021 and comprises of up to eight external subject matter experts with deep commercial and business experience, two Councillors and City of Melbourne management representatives.
The Board provides strategic advice to the City of Melbourne on the potential opportunities for growth of investment for the city and offers feedback on proposed initiatives that support investment in the city.

We’re looking for subject matter expert in renewable energy with extensive expertise in driving investment growth, and a critical understanding of business, market, and industry trends from both a domestic and international perspective. The new board member will have the capacity to offer strategic advice to City of Melbourne on the opportunities to attract and drive growth of investment in the municipality.
The City of Melbourne will make an appointment based on merit, skill, expertise and leadership qualities. The member will bring specialist expertise and skills, relevant networks connections, innovative thinking and be an advocate and champion in harnessing domestic and foreign direct investment opportunities to the municipality.
The member of the board will be appointed for a term commencing from their first meeting through to 31 March 2026. Meetings take place at a minimum of three times per year.
