This is a creation program in which the Collective members will be the dreamers, designers and builders of arts projects for other children to participate in.

Starting in term 1 2025, this group will meet five times per term in term 1 and term 2 and throughout the July school holidays.

The Collective will be responsible for developing innovative programming that authentically reflects the priorities and fascinations of young people. The final outcome of the Collective will be a project at ArtPlay where members will produce and facilitate a season of artistic experiences for the public. This is a unique opportunity for industrious young people to belong to a highly inventive art creation hub.

This program is for dynamic thinkers

The audition day is designed to ensure the successful match of young people to this unique experience. Unlike other ensembles, straightforward art-making and performing is not the core work of this program. Instead ArtPlay is looking for committed and dynamic thinkers who enjoy following up their ideas with rigorous planning and detail. To be a good fit for this program you will love the idea of producing an arts experience for others and will get great fulfilment from developing and organising.

• After you book you will be sent a short questionnaire for your child to complete before the audition.
• There will be 15 children invited to be part of the Collective.
• If your child is invited to be part of the Collective you will be sent a link to pay for and confirm their place. The program will be $100 per 5 week term and will take place at ArtPlay.
• If your child is invited to be part of the Collective they will need to be available for the workshop dates.
