Docklands Stakeholder Group wraps-up with several community projects to its name

December 11, 2024

The Docklands Stakeholder Group has completed its work, recently meeting for the last time after delivering some valuable community projects, including the recent Docklands Farmers Market.

The group came together as an action of the Docklands Stakeholder Summit and with support from City of Melbourne funding, delivered several key activities and initiatives over the past year. Its members were representatives from different parts of the community, including Docklands Primary School, resident groups and local businesses.

City of Melbourne thanks the group for its collaboration and ability to quickly deliver on its goals.

Over six meetings, the Docklands Stakeholder Group delivered projects to build community connection through local events and activation of unused spaces. As well as the Docklands Farmers Market, the group was also responsible for the Docklands Youth Activations program, social arts and craft sessions and the Community 3008 group.

Community connection remains an important goal for Docklands and City of Melbourne looks forward to working with the community and representative groups like Community 3008 to build on these foundations for the future of Docklands.
