About the innovation challenge

Fishermans Bend is Australia’s largest urban renewal project covering 480 hectares in the heart of Melbourne. The project is an exciting opportunity to explore how we can harness data and emerging technologies to enable city spaces to thrive now and in the future.

We invited entrepreneurs, individuals, universities, researchers, start-up, scale-ups and organisations to submit creative applications of data and technology to harness opportunities and solve challenges in our future city spaces.

The top three finalists were decided after several stages of assessment.

About the event

Come along in-person at Fishermans Bend or tune in to the livestream to see the three top ideas pitch.

The pitches will battle it out to win over the judges and community, with the winner getting $90,000 and the opportunity to work with City of Melbourne to bring their idea to life in 2025.
