New toolkit offers support for student renters

September 2, 2024

Finding a place to live as a student can be challenging and a new toolkit has taken some of the hard work away. Produced by the University of Melbourne Graduate Student Association (GSA), who have partnered with the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in Healthy Housing, the toolkit aims to help graduate student renters search for a place to live.

The GSA Rental Housing Toolkit has information to help you:

  • Understand your housing options as a student
  • Find and apply for private rental housing
  • Understand your rights as a renter
  • Access support for emergency housing, food relief and financial aid

Whether you’re beginning your search or getting ready to move into a new home, this toolkit offers guidance for every stage of the process.
