Now or Never: Constellations

A celestial formation hovers above its own shimmering reflection on the Yarra River/Birrarung’s surface after dark.

Constellations by Studio Lemercier is a free event, that will take you on an abstract journey through the geometric structure formed by the universe. This mysterious, audiovisual installation is viewed from the bank of the Yarra, where light is projected on invisible water particles to form shapes and intangible structures in the air, resulting in 3D-like visuals.

This environment becomes a gate for the exploration of the cosmos, allowing us to travel through the planets and stars, moving from the heart of a black hole into deep space while keeping our feet planted firmly on the ground.

An ominous, electronic soundscape by sound artist Paul Jebanasam accompanies Lemercier’s vectorial, monochromatic aesthetics as we search together for the limits of the universe.

Run time is 15 minutes. The show runs from 6pm with five minutes between each show.
