Parliamentary Inquiry into the 2022 Flood Event

Victoria’s major floods of October 2022 are subject to a Parliamentary Inquiry which is calling for public submissions. The Legislative Council Environment and Planning Committee will investigate the state’s preparedness for and response to the disaster. The Committee is accepting written submissions until 8 May 2023 and intends to hold public hearings in flood-affected regions. Flood waters impacted parts of Kensington and West Melbourne. The City of Melbourne has prepared a submission to the Inquiry which will be presented to the Future Melbourne Committee on Tuesday 2 May.
