In April this year the Hotham Walk Avenue Elm restoration project in Fitzroy Gardens was successfully completed.

Many of the original Elms dated back to the 1860s and were in poor condition, which presented an exciting opportunity to preserve the Elm tree population and the parks iconic tree lined avenues through new tree planting.

In a two stage process and with the support from Heritage Victoria we planted 28 Elms which will restore the avenue to its once magnificent state.
