We’re proud and excited to let you know that City of Melbourne is partnering with People For Nature, to bring AlterCOP 30, a powerful climate conference, to Australia, this coming November.
Taking place from 17-20 November, this grassroots climate summit will bring together diverse communities to explore and act on climate justice, decarbonisation, and resilience, offering an inclusive, science-based platform for localised climate action.
In Melbourne, we’re running the following events:
Giant Climate Fresk
An interactive, science-based workshop that turns complex climate science into a fun game. For all ages.
When: 4pm to 7pm, Monday 17 November

Sustainable Cities Walking Tour
An engaging two-hour guided walking tour through Melbourne’s city centre to explore how sustainability is shaping the urban environment — past and present.

City of Melbourne Climate Adaptation Game
The Adaptation Game is a table-top board game that simulates how you and your community adapt to climate change and build resilience.

Park Ranger Play
City of Melbourne’s Park Rangers will lead interactive learning activities and share their knowledge about local animals, plants and habitats that make this area truly unique. For all ages.

Youth Led Documentary Screening - 7Seasons
This short youth led documentary, created by George Clancy Lester: The Bee Man, aims to highlight the impacts of climate change on native bees, pollinators, and flowering plants, as well as other impacting environmental phenomena. For all ages.

Youth Climate Cafe Conversation
Climate Cafes offer a supported conversation to talk about our wonderous planet, connect and share thoughts and feelings with like-minded peers.
Presented by Museums Victoria and Orygen this special edition is for 18-25 years age.
