Flood Mapping consultation workshop

City of Melbourne is seeking community insights on flooding in local areas to develop flood maps and inform future planning scheme amendments.  Attend a community consultation workshop in Kensington and have your say.

Melbourne has always been a water city, with low lying areas prone to flooding. As the city becomes more densely populated, it is also becoming more prone to floods. Flood mapping helps us understand where flooding is expected so we can make better planning decisions today.

In partnership with Melbourne Water, flood maps are being developed to reflect current and projected flood risks and inform future planning decisions.

Register for the Kensington workshop and share your experiences. The Victorian SES will also be attending to discuss their updates to the local flood guide and share disaster preparedness information.

If you can't attend the workshop, you can also take part in the consultation by completing a survey or sharing your insights on our interactive map. Have your say by 25 July.
