Heritage Design Guide and Heritage Owner’s Guide workshop

March 2, 2020

We've developed two heritage guides to assist owners of heritage properties in the City of Melbourne understand heritage planning and policy.

The first guide, the Heritage Design Guide, is primarily for owners, developers, architects and heritage consultants and focuses on the practical application of Melbourne Planning Scheme heritage policies introduced by Amendment C258.

The second guide, the Heritage Owner’s Guide, is designed to support owners of heritage properties with practical information on what the Heritage Overlay means and how it affects them.

Both guides were developed with input from owners of heritage properties, planners, heritage and urban design professionals.

We would like to invite you to a workshop on 25 March from 6pm to 7.30pm to discuss the ease of use of the final drafts of both guides before they are published. Refreshments will be provided.

If your organisation would like to participate, please let us know the names of up to two people who would like to attend along with their email and phone number.

To read the final draft guides (item 6.3) presented at Future Melbourne Committee, see: Future Melbourne Committee 18 February 2020
