CBD Hoddle Grid Neighbourhood Portal
Our city is a dynamic place made up of a unique set of neighbourhoods. While we are all Melburnians at heart, the needs, services and priorities will naturally differ across the neighbourhoods of Carlton, Parkville, East Melbourne, West Melbourne, North Melbourne, Kensington, Docklands, South Yarra, Southbank and the CBD Hoddle Grid.
In 2021, we began working with a Neighbourhood Model featuring a Neighbourhood Planning Framework focussing on listening to the voices of community and using these insights to help plan services, activities and investments.
Gathering this information, is each neighbourhood’s dedicated Neighbourhood Partner, working with residents, businesses, and visitors listening to your ideas to create safe, inclusive, and resilient communities together.
We held our first community consultations in late 2021, in the CBD and Kensington neighbourhoods. We then got back in touch from March to April 2022 to check to see if there were any gaps or issues that you wanted to tell us about.
We listened to you and heard you.
Our new Neighbourhood Portals are interactive, digital one-stop shops for all things relating to your neighbourhood, and have been designed with you in mind capturing what you told us.
The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong Boon Wurrung peoples of the Eastern Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past, present and emerging.
We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection the Wurundjeri, Bunurong, Dja Dja Wurrung, Taungurung and Wadawurrung peoples of the Eastern Kulin have to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.
We are committed to our reconciliation journey, because at its heart, reconciliation is about strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal peoples, for the benefit of all Victorians.
