With Grattan Street now open and Metro Tunnel’s Parkville Station almost complete, we’re proposing to make Queensberry Street safer and greener from Peel Street to Rathdowne Street, including:

  • Protected riding lanes on both sides of the street from Peel Street to Rathdowne Street.
  • One traffic lane in both directions, creating a calmer and quieter street the community has been asking for.
  • Traffic management changes, such as new hook turns, to help keep people moving.
  • Up to 57 new trees, creating a cooler environment in the warmer months.
  • Changes to the layout of parking bays, including the removal of 50 bays (99 retained) to provide space for the project.
