The City of Melbourne is committed to creating healthy and safe environments for everyone by reducing smoking and vaping in our city and supporting people to quit.

Our Smoke-free Melbourne Policy is a comprehensive framework to protect the community from the harms of smoking and vaping.

One of the ways we do this is by creating smoke-free and vape-free areas, where people are protected from second-hand smoke and aerosol.

We’re speaking with local residents, businesses, market traders, building owners, students, tourists and visitors on whether the Queen Victoria Market should become a smoke-free and vape-free area.
